The Sector Project BoDeN and the Integrated Biodiversity Management programme, South Caucasus (IBiS) and REC Caucasus are collaborating in order to foster the economic dimension in the elaboration of new strategies aiming at strengthening the wide application of sustainable land management practices.
Land restoration measures to prevent land erosion and to maintain the fertility of about 500 ha of arable land in vulnerable municipalities of Shida Kartli region
Objectives - The proposed pilot project aims at securing the productivity of about 500 ha of arable land and to reduce land degradation caused by wind erosion through contribution to re-establishment and rehabilitation of 25 km of windbreak system in Gori and Kareli and Carbon sequestration of 117 t CO2 eq (during 5 years).
Applying Landscape and Sustainable Land Management (L-SLM) for mitigating land degradation and contributing to poverty reduction in rural areas of Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti regions
Support integration of good Landscape and Sustainable Land Management (L-SLM) principles and practices into national policy and institutional framework to ensure adoption of economically viable practices by rural communities in the regions of Kakheti and Kvemo Kartli.
DETLUP Project (Development through land use planning)
DETLUP is the project of international cooperation between V4 countries and Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia with the support of International Visegrad Fund, that aims to improve knowledge of representatives of local and regional government, NGOs and regional planners about good land use plan for successful economic and social development.
