1 . United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) together with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia (MEPA) have launched a project to promote low carbon solutions through nature based urban development for Kutaisi City in Georgia – together with national and local partners and with the support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF).

3. The project consists of three major components: (1) Strengthening planning and institutional frameworks enabling sustainable development in the City of Kutaisi; (2) Facilitating investment in low emission electric public transportation and green city development; and (3) Capacity development, knowledge management and M&E for integrated low carbon city development.
4. Within the project framework, the Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus (REC Caucasus) funded by Global Environmental Facility (GEF), invites qualified bidders to submit their Bids for the procurement of 2 (two) units of passenger electric buses.
5. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement with publication.
