On March 24, 2017 the meeting of LEDS Working Group on LULUCF took place at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, representatives of Rec Caucasus were attending this meeting. The objective of the meeting was to present the work that has been conducted on LULUCF so far within the LEDS project to the members of WG and other invited experts.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Head of the National Forest Agency (NFA), Ms Natia Iordanishvili who presented the overview of existing situation in forest sector of Georgia. Experts of Remissia, Mrs Marina Shvangiradze and Koba Chiburdanidze presented “LULUCF GHG Inventory and BAU for 2030” and “Mitigation Measures in LULUCF” respectively. International expert of Winrock Int. Mr Arthur Neher presented “The Best Practices in LULUCF”.
