Specific Objectives:
- Knowledge and capacities of the target group and partners concerning specific topics and challenges (such as networking, governance, sustainable land use, cooperation mechanisms) in regard to Biosphere reserve development are strengthened at national, sub-national and local levels;
- A local initiative to push BR development has formed and actively works on related topics;
- A national inter-sectorial structure with steering power, that involves or consults with the local initiative, has received technical support, training and facilitation to support it in setting up necessary formal preconditions for starting the Biosphere reserve development and for taking or preparing relevant decisions in this regard;
- An implementation project for Biosphere reserve establishment in Kakheti is prepared.
