Project Title – Support to Waste Management and Development of Circular Economy in Georgia

Project Overall Objective:

Improve the protection of the environment as well as the health of the Georgian population.

Project-Specific Objectives:

  • Promote waste prevention and minimisation concepts (sorting/recycling/reuse of wastes) to improve waste management practices;
  • Support the introduction of the concept of “Green”/Circular Economy in the society and the economic activities

Project Components:

  • Policy framework for Waste Management
  • Support in the implementation of waste hierarchy, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and transition towards circular economy
  • Development of Information Technology (IT) systems/tools for waste management/prevention
  • Support the transition toward Circular Economy and Green Growth
